Local dance competition to take place before “SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE LIVE! 2018”

Dance teams across Southeast Texas will perform in a local “So You Think You Can Dance SETX” competition on November 25. Each group will perform a short dance skit before a panel of local “celebrity” judges. “Celebrity” guests include emcee Jeremy Raley of the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce and judges DJ Jazzie Redd of Magic 102.5 at Cumulus, News Anchor Kimberly Rusley of KFDM, and Sports Editor Chad Cooper of The Examiner. Tickets for SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE SETX pre-event are just $10 and are available for purchase at the Doggett Ford Park Box Office, www.ticketmaster.com or charge by phone at 800-745-3000. Additional fees may apply. A pre-event ticket and show ticket must be purchased to attend. Doors to the pre-event will open at 5:00 pm and will remain open until 7:00 pm at the start of the show.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE LIVE! 2018 is kicking off the holiday season in Beaumont on November 25 with its blockbuster annual tour! The 15-time Emmy® Award-winning show brings its fans the top 10 contestants from Season 15 including Jensen Arnold, Hannahlei Cabanilla, Genessy Castillo, Evan DeBenedetto, Jay Jay Dixonbey, Magdalena Fialek, Darius Hickman, Chelsea Hough, Cole Mills, and Slavik Pustovoytov. Meet the Top Ten HERE. All-Stars Lauren Froderman and Cyrus “Glitch” Spencer will also be joining the annual fall tour!

Lauren Froderman is the winner of the 7th season of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. She has danced with the Radio City Rockette’s, Big Time Rush, Blake McGrath, and others. Lauren is the first dance athlete for Gatorade and the female dance athlete for the G Series Fit line. Cyrus “Glitch” Spencer was runner-up on season 9. Since then, he has not stopped working in the industry, performing all-across the country, shooting commercials and feature films.
